ALOHA! KAMA'AINA
(pronounced 'comma-eye-na') means 'local' or 'islander.' We are very family oriented, friendly, helpful, and want everyone to ‘feel at home’ and ‘at ease’ as part of our ‘alpaca family.’

Success Breeds Success!
While the Kama’aina Alpacas name is relatively new in the Alpaca world, our relationship with the livestock industry spans well over seven years. Since 2001, we have been and continue to be involved in the Thoroughbred Horse Racing Industry. Kama'aina Thoroughbreds have successfully raced on the West Coast at prestigious racetracks such as Santa Anita Park, Hollywood Park, Bay Meadows, Golden Gate Fields and Emerald Downs. We like to think that during that time, we’ve learned a great deal about what it takes to be successful in raising and racing Thoroughbreds. Our goal is to transfer our success, knowledge and experience of thoroughbreds into breeding these wonderful animals called Alpacas.

Island Style Criations - Producing Quality!
At Kama’aina Alpacas, we strive to breed a QUALITY herd of genetically profitable Alpacas. We target not just success in the show ring, but also towards making alpaca a viable fleece industry in North America. Although we are new, this translates for us into developing the best core Alpaca herd that we can. Our crias so far are just what we hoped for.  Kama’aina Alpacas is dedicated to assisting you in setting up your Alpaca farm. From educating you about the Alpaca industry to helping you make the right decisions when purchasing your foundation herd, we're there to help you get started raising Alpacas!
